Pattaya
Naklua is the old fishing community just north of Pattaya, where the resort city meets a more traditional Thai town. Along Naklua Road you will find local markets, temples, schools and family-run shops, and the Lan Pho Naklua market is known for fresh and dried seafood. The coastline here has rocky stretches and piers as well as small sandy sections; for a longer swimming beach, Wongamat is next door. Property ranges from older townhouses and low-rise condominiums on the side streets to newer high-rise buildings towards the sea, so there are options for many budgets. Naklua suits residents who prefer local life and a slower pace to nightlife, and who want to be close to the malls of North Pattaya, the Bangkok bus terminal on North Pattaya Road and Sukhumvit Road. Songthaews run along Naklua Road towards the Dolphin Roundabout.
