Central Pattaya is the busiest part of the city, between Beach Road and Second Road and around Central Pattaya Road. Pattaya Beach runs along its whole length with a seafront promenade, and Central Festival Pattaya Beach, Royal Garden Plaza, restaurants, banks, clinics and offices are all within walking distance. Walking Street and Bali Hai Pier, where ferries leave for Koh Larn, are a short way to the south. Property is mostly condominiums, from older buildings on the side sois to modern high-rises with sea views, plus some townhouses and commercial units. Living here, you can do without a car: songthaews loop along Beach Road and Second Road throughout the day. The area suits people who want everything on their doorstep and enjoy a lively city. If you need quiet, choose the street and the floor carefully, as nightlife and traffic can be noisy.
