Pattaya
Wongamat is a quiet beachfront neighbourhood in the north of Pattaya, part of Naklua and a few minutes' drive from the city centre. Its beach is calmer than Pattaya Beach, and much of the shoreline is lined with high-rise condominiums, many with sea views, pools and gyms, alongside a few low-rise buildings and resorts. The area suits buyers and long-term tenants who want to live by the sea without the noise of Central Pattaya: couples, retirees, remote workers and families. Everyday shopping is close by: Terminal 21 and Central Marina in North Pattaya are a few minutes away, and Naklua's markets and seafood restaurants are next door. The Sanctuary of Truth, a carved wooden temple by the sea, stands at the northern end. Songthaews (shared pickup taxis) run along Naklua Road, but most residents also use a car, a motorbike or a ride-hailing app.
